Hindi Debate Competition
DPS Raipur is committed to preparing its students not only for academic excellence but also for various co-curricular activities and competitions. As a result, we produce students who shine wherever they go and whichever field they choose. On August 24, 2024, two students from Class 9, Katha Jaiswal and Garima Agarwal, demonstrated exceptional oratory skills and secured the winning title in the debate competition held at Delhi Public School, Bhilai. They presented their argument on the topic "The rising trend of dummy schools in the country is leading to the decline of traditional education and social etiquette". Competing against participants from eleven schools in Raipur and Bhilai, they outshone others with their persuasive arguments and impressive speaking skills. Understanding the seriousness and context of the topic, they presented such compelling arguments that the audience was left in awe. Katha's powerful speech delivery and Garima's well-referenced arguments greatly impressed the judging panel, who praised both students and invited them on stage for recognition. Based on their combined scores, DPS Raipur was declared the winner, and Katha Jaiswal also received the second prize for speaking in favour of the topic. As a reward, DPS Bhilai awarded DPS Raipur with the "Chal Bayjanti" trophy, which the school will hold for a year. Under the guidance of the senior Hindi teacher, Mrs. Meenu Srivastava, both students prepared excellently and left a lasting impression on the judges as well as the audience.
