Reaching for the Stars: Rajrishi Nanada Wins national Astronomy Challenge 2025-2026


In an age where curiosity fuels discovery and the mysteries of the cosmos continue to inspire young minds, Delhi Public School, Raipur celebrates a remarkable achievement that has placed one of its students among the nation's brightest astronomy enthusiasts.

Rajrishi Nanda of Class IX has brought immense pride to the school by securing the National Champion (1st Position) title in the prestigious National Astronomy Challenge (NAC) 2025-26. His exceptional accomplishment stands as a testament to his intellectual prowess, scientific temperament, and unwavering dedication to the pursuit of knowledge.

As part of this distinguished recognition, Rajrishi participated in a three-day educational and felicitation programme held in Pune from 23rd to 25th July 2026. The enriching programme provided participants with a rare opportunity to visit two of India's premier astronomical institutions - the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) and the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA). During these visits, students engaged with eminent astronomers, gained insights into cutting-edge research, and explored world-class scientific facilities.

The programme reached its pinnacle with the grand National Award Ceremony on 24th July 2026, where Rajrishi was felicitated for his outstanding achievement. His success not only reflects his personal excellence but also exemplifies the spirit of inquiry, innovation, and academic distinction nurtured at Delhi Public School, Raipur.
