DPS Raipur Students Earn International Recognition at YISF 2026


Delhi Public School, Raipur takes immense pride in announcing that three teams of students secured the Third Degree Diploma at the prestigious YISF (Yakutia International Science Fair) 2026, an international platform that celebrates innovation, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving among young researchers from across the globe.

The achievement reflects the students' commitment to research, creativity, and the application of scientific principles to address real-world challenges.

Team 1 consisted of Riddhima R. Kumar, Anishka Jain, Aadya Agrawal, Rajvee Shukla, and Vaanya Vaibhav presented their project on Solar-Powered Smart Spraying System Based on NH? Gas Detection for Poultry Hygiene.The team developed a low-cost, eco-friendly smart system designed to improve hygiene in poultry farms. The project focuses on detecting harmful ammonia (NH3) gas generated from poultry waste and automatically activating a solar-powered spraying mechanism to reduce gas concentration. The system integrates a microprocessor, NH? gas sensor, solar panel, battery, relay module, water pump, and spray nozzle. By reducing ammonia levels, the innovation helps improve air quality, safeguard animal health, minimize labour requirements, and promote sustainable poultry management practices.

Team 2 consisted of Samarth Dhiraj Agrawal, Shreyansh Mistry, Namit Lakhotia, and Aadeep Maheshwari designed their research work on Enhanced Air Purification System Using Red Mud, Water Hyacinth Biochar and Bamboo Charcoal. This team presented an innovative and sustainable air purification model that utilizes waste-derived materials such as water hyacinth biochar, red mud, and bamboo charcoal. The project addresses the growing challenge of air pollution through a natural filtration process based on adsorption. Polluted air passes through multiple layers that effectively trap dust, harmful gases, and airborne pollutants. The eco-friendly purifier is affordable, biodegradable, and suitable for homes, classrooms, offices, and small industries. The project highlights the potential of converting environmental waste into valuable resources for public health and environmental protection.

The third team consisted of Hrishab Shukla, Nishchay Gauraha, Shubhay Srivastava, Atharwa Tiwari, and Ayaansh Agrawal worked on the project titled Gau Vansh - The Bovine Intelligence. The team designed an AI-powered cattle monitoring system aimed at improving dairy farm productivity and animal welfare. The project addresses the challenge of accurately detecting heat cycles in cows, a critical factor in successful breeding and milk production. Using thermal imaging, environmental sensors, cameras, and machine learning algorithms, the system monitors cattle health and reproductive indicators while minimizing environmental interference. The solution offers farmers a cost-effective and scalable alternative to traditional monitoring methods, helping reduce economic losses and enhance dairy management efficiency.

The remarkable success of these three teams at YISF 2026 stands as a testament to the scientific temperament, innovation-driven mindset, and collaborative spirit nurtured at DPS Raipur. Their projects demonstrate how young minds can leverage technology and sustainability to develop practical solutions for contemporary challenges.
