













Independence Day holds a special place in the hearts of citizens, serving as a reminder of the struggles, sacrifices and victories that paved the way for a nation's freedom. On 15th August 2024, Delhi Public School, Raipur, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and reverence.
The cultural program began with a heartfelt patriotic song performed by Tanya Sen Gupta and her team, under the mentorship of Mr. Gautam Biswas. The soulful music set the tone for the rest of the celebrations. This was followed by a melodious orchestra performance, skillfully directed by Mr. Arvind Bharti, which captivated the audience.
Adding to the patriotic spirit, a vibrant group dance was performed on the song "Har Ghar Tiranga," showcasing the rich cultural heritage and unity of India. The highlight of the program was a skit portraying the life and bravery of the unsung hero of Chhattisgarh, Veer Shahid Gundadhur, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
The entire assembly was beautifully orchestrated by the students of Class IX, who did a commendable job in making the event memorable. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment towards the nation.
The programme successfully instilled the feelings of patriotism in the hearts of the young pupil, renewing their commitment to the ongoing process of nation-building, ensuring that the ideals of independence are upheld for future generations.
