An appropriate mixture of functionality and aesthetics distinguishes the building complex housing DPS Raipur. Constructed with a combination of concrete and glass and typified by the green colour scheme, the school building includes 4 blocks of classrooms in three stories equipped with 24 hour CCTV surveillance, display and writing boards, lockers for students and furniture specially selected to suit the requirements of growing children.

Technology and Infrastructure are also vital ingredients in the string of progression and innovation of the students and hence it has always been given due deliberation at DPSR. Adhering to CBSE bye laws, the school has proper facilities like ramps, toilets for wheel chair users and the differently abled students to ensure barrier free environment in the school building. High flow water purifiers are installed on all the floors for the supply of clean drinking water.

Installation of fire hydrants designed and approved by the National Fire safety is a milestone development to avert fire disaster. The entire school building is included, without limitation, to cover the school structures that shall meet the demand of fire safety.

Visible from the classrooms also are dedicated green spaces, as well as a garden and playing field. Moreover, the Arts & Crafts room, Science Labs, Mathematics Lab, Computer Labs, Humanities Lab, Activity Arena, Multimedia Room and Performance Centres are provided for the betterment of the students, along with facilities for indoor games.

   Transport Facility

The school has a fleet of outsourced 74 buses and 4 LMVs, to commute students & staff to and from their residences. The Transport Service (optional) is operated by the school and a separate transport fee is charged for this. For supervision and monitoring a transport attendant is on board throughout the journey. Mobile phones have been provided in each bus that ensures efficiency in terms of service and better communication in case of emergencies. As per the Supreme Court guidelines, the facility of first aid box, camera, four kgs fire extinguisher, water kettle of 20 liters are invariably present in all the school buses. All the school buses are fitted with speed governors.

   Computer Laboratory

The school’s computer and communication facilities provide state-of-the-art equipment and broadband internet connectivity. Aside from three well-equipped Computer Labs, the Learning Centre provides IT services for use in projects and research assignments.

   Science Laboratories

Fully equipped laboratories for Physics, Biology and Chemistry each offer the students the chance to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical context, in groups and individually. This exposure to a research environment allows the possibility for students nurture a scientific interest.

   Library

Holding 15,177 books on a wide variety of subjects, the DPS library is an invaluable storehouse of knowledge and a worthy resource for the growth of our students. From an early age, pupils are encouraged to cultivate their reading skills, and to use the space as a secure centre for learning and self-improvement. We also here provide electronic resources - with an Audio and Video CD section – to make the learning process more exciting. Students are able to hone their research and critical thinking skills, and our multimedia room and Internet Zone permits students keep themselves up to date with international news as well as the world around them.

   Sick Bay

Manned by two qualified nurses, the medical centre maintains high standards of hygiene and care to ensure the health and wellbeing of our students. The centre is open throughout the day to attend to the pupils’ needs as and when required, with carefully documented records available for easy reference. Annual events are held, to promote optical or dental health check-ups, as well as the routine check-ups provided to students.

   Sports

At DPSR we attach a significant value to Sports activities as we believe that agile mind and a sturdy physique is an outcome of indulgence in Sports. Besides, Sports help in building a healthy team spirit. Team sports prepares a child to the method of performing in a group and for individual sports the school grooms and trains a student to learn and participate. Splendid sporting facilities abound which include tennis and basketball courts, a sports complex which includes two swimming pools, a squash court, a table tennis room, judo corner and all facilities for indoor games. There is a provision for sports activities for students of all age groups. We have the qualified coaches to teach the students, the various rules, skills and techniques required for mastering various games. The students are helped in acquiring the art of competing with the opposition with skill and good sportsmanship.

   Creative & Performing Arts – Painting, Music & more...

Our students relish the opportunity to vaunt their artistic skills in the Art room, following the path of self expression as far as their imaginations will take them. A number of mediums are available for this gracious pursuit, including clay modelling, painting, and drawing and craft activities. Further to this, an appreciation and an ear for music are cultivated in the music rooms, which are equipped with a wide range of modern and traditional musical instruments. The children get a taste of fine Hindustani classical as well as Western classical during their music lessons. The Dance rooms are fitted with large mirrors to enable the students to view themselves while practicing new steps with finesse. This learning facility provides an excellent opportunity to the student to explore creativity and at the same time also rejuvenate his mind.

   Atal Tinkering Lab

The school has established ATL in January 2018 with the grant-in-aid received from the central government. ATL is an approach of Niti Aayog of India to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation, creativity amongst Indian Students. It is a step towards a new India wherein it will not only facilitate the innovators from its own premises, shall also invite the neighbouring schools to inspect, invent and innovate.
